Real likeable people

Lately, I have been thinking about that special thing that makes someone likeable. Since we all might have experienced this with someone, I do think it is a fruitful exercise to reflect and include these skills into our daily interactions. As a result of this exercise, you can only enrich yourself based on what you admire from others. Still, there is a chance that this will only make you more likeable to yourself as there is no way this method can be universally applicable. So, before it gets more confusing, this is what I have discovered so far.

Caution - being likeable requires someone else! In order to practise it, you need to socialise. So it won't change the fact that you are a grumpy person in solitude.

I have noticed that people that I like are: good listeners, curious about social interactions and humanities, honest and vulnerable. I realised that these attitudes/skills are essential to make me feel comfortable. In short, likeable people make you feel like this because they give you the comfort to be who you are.

I want to stress that there is no real reason to act like a likeable person when it doesn't feel natural for you (especially when it comes to pleasing someone). From my side, I treasure people who question my ideas and opinions. People who confront me and make me think further than my established conceptions are my real likeable people.

5. Laugh. This could be (arguably) the funniest video of 2021. Thanks Luiz for sharing this with me. If you are having a hard time understanding it because it is in Portuguese, here is a short explanation: This is a wax museum in Brazil. They are showing an exhibition called "Friends of god". As they go through the sculptures try not to laugh at how horrendous they are. However, you might lose your control once you see the artist. All of them look exactly like him!!! OMG, Brazil you never let me down ♥️. Did you recognise Mandela, Marthin Luther King or Lady Diana?
