Making makes live the dead hours inside us

"The time for it is always with us though we say I do not have that kind of time. The kind of time I have is not for this but for that. I wish I had that kind of time. But if you had that kind of time - would you do it? Would you give it a try? A kind of both. Doing takes and gives time - makes live the dead hours inside us."

Hola,
This week I had plenty of time to write some thoughts that were in my head for a while and I felt relieved. I have been enjoying Barry's book "What it is" during this slow and relaxing week. The whole book is an ode to creativity. This quote stuck in my mind and from now on, I aim to fill my down time by giving form to my feelings and thoughts.
Find here a list of things I found worth sharing from last week:
- Relax. After practising meditation for more than a year, I decided to buy a lifetime subscription for Calm app. Before that, I could never see myself saying this, but meditating, guided or not, has helped me a lot with how I live my life. It is a constant work on practising empathy with myself and others and imagining a better world for everyone. I wish Calm app was for free so everyone could have a chance to try it, but unfortunately, it isn't. This week I found a project/app called A Soft Murmur. It is the perfect companion for working, thinking, relaxing, meditating and similar activities. It just offers relaxing sounds and noises, but sometimes this is all you need.
- Review. Wrote some thoughts On Art. Reply to this email with your reflection on what art means to you and let's start a dance!
- Feel. ... or not 😅. Wrote some words into poem form. Sometimes. It was liberating.
- Read. I finished Psychopolitics from Byung-Chul Han, and it became the best book that I read this year. I recommend it to everyone, especially if you are interested in the critique of neoliberalism and its impact on western culture. Here is a book review that I found on The Guardian.
- Aww♥️. It is sad that this quest isn't longer. Thanks Tania for sharing this with me!
Thanks for reading and have a nice week!
