“"I can't stand it to think my life is going so fast and I'm not really living it."

Hola,
I hope you are all feeling good today and for those of you who are not, please stay strong and let me know how I can make your day better. It is a new week and two more weeks to go to the end of November. Is your life going as fast as Robert's in The Sun Also Rises?
These days I have learnt that I can feel I'm "living life" when it is Monday morning and I'm feeling physically tired. I also now understand that resting is a vital part of living as well. Giving myself time to heal, reflect and enrich my life from small experiences.
Finally, I learnt that I don't need to share my experiences with everybody in social media, just with people I care about... like you.
Find here a lists of things I found worth sharing from last week:
- Watch. Intense performance of actress Oulaya Amamr in Divines (2016) (Available on German Netflix). It admirable how the director, Houda Benyamina, managed to deliver a strong story with a storyline that converged poverty, refugees, dance, broken dreams and friendship.
- Listen. Expressive and powerful voice of Cécile McLorin Salvant. From trained jazz singers you can expect only good performances but I was amazed at how organic her voice sounds in the studio recordings. At some point it reminded me of Lizzo's performace in NPR's Music Tiny Desk Concert, that BTW... you have to watch it!
- Cook. Had the opportunity to cook my beloved classic Moules-Frites.
- Mental health. This tweet from Mat Johnson: "Every time I've gotten suicidal it felt like I was seeing the true nature of reality and happy people were delusional. Every time I made it to the other side, it was clear melancholy was the delusion. No matter how shitty the era, never have I regretted stubbornly staying alive.". Just gets directly to my heart everytime I read it.
- Aww♥️. Here is a dog doing a downward dog.
Thanks for reading and have a nice week!
